Masterclass – Empathy in Business
Gain a competitive advantage in the age of AI. Accelerate hiring, improve business results, and reduce costs by applying cognitive empathy — a skill that can be learned. The know-how will be delivered by Karen Faith, a recognized TEDx speaker and expert in implementing empathy in business.
We care about bringing together leaders who want to better understand themselves and others, and in doing so strengthen trust within their organizations and across the broader business environment in Slovakia.
To preserve a confidential atmosphere and the quality of discussion, we are inviting a smaller circle of companies and individuals we see as values-driven partners.
Practical workshop
With Karen Faith - How to implement cognitive empathy in your business
Two case studies
Use of empathy in recruitment and its impact on hiring speed, decision quality, and candidate experience
Two practical guides
How to immediately implement empathy in recruitment and leadership
Who is this event for?
This event is for you if you:
- lead a sales team and want to achieve better results through a deeper understanding of people,
- work in HR or recruitment and want to make better hiring decisions,
- are a CEO or C-level executive looking to strengthen leadership, trust, and collaboration,
- are a hiring manager who needs to better understand candidates’ motivations, behavior, and potential,
- are looking for practical ways to apply cognitive empathy in business, leadership, and hiring.
What led us to organize an event on empathy?
Low trust and polarization
In Slovakia, only 21.3% of people think that most others can be trusted,
compared to 72.1% in Finland (DEKK Institute).
AI is changing leadership requirements
By 2030, demand for social and emotional skills
will increase by 30% (McKinsey Global Institute).
Misunderstanding costs time and money
In critical hires, details, understanding, and trust matter — not standard approaches.
Empathy
- is the ability to understand another person’s perspective and can be learned and developed (Daniel Goleman, The Focused Leader, Harvard Business Review, 2013)
- has the potential to become a competitive advantage (Drahomíra Mandíková)
- can be one of the tools for rebuilding low trust in Slovak society (DEKK Institute, Trends of (Dis)Trust)
Our masterclass includes a 2-hour workshop (in English) that will equip you with practical tools to prevent such situations to achieve better business results by applying cognitive empathy.
At the event, we will present case studies from Slovakia where the use of empathy demonstrably improved the recruiting process — enhancing selection quality and candidate experience, shortening timelines, and reducing costs and stress associated with recruitment.
Leaders from Slovak business (Michal Meško, Drahomíra Mandíková, Eva Štefanková) will also share their perspective on this skill in a discussion on how empathy helps drive results not only in leadership, but also in customer relationships.
